Khadhu is the bassist, lead singer, and composer of the band, and has been a member of Cartoon from the beginning in 1995. He graduated in guitar at the School of Music of the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG) in Belo Horizonte. Aside from contributing with his wide vocal range, he is also responsible for arrangements that include harmonica, guitar, the Indian intruments – esraj and sitar – in the band’s songs.
Khykho, a true disciple of the grand masters of rock, is Cartoon’s virtuoso guitarist and an avid student of classical music. He graduated in conducting at the School of Music at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Belo Horizonte. He still pursues a bachelor’s degree in cello at the same institution. Khykho is also a composer, vocalist, cellist, and electric bassist. Aside from his work with Cartoon, he works as an arranger and conductor of choirs and orchestras.
Raphael took over Cartoon’s keyboard position in 2008. He participated thoroughly in the preparation and recording process of the band’s last CD, “Unbeatable.” In live performances, one can appreciate his outstanding technique and sensitivity that result in perfect and hypnotic solos. Raphael, who is also vocalist and guitarist, has also collaborated in Cartoon’s new compositions.
Bhydhu is Cartoon’s drummer, who more apparently brings forth the unpredictability of the band. His free-style playing is essential to the identity of Cartoon, carrying out the arrangements with a bold, strong, and precise grip. In addition to playing the drums, Bhydhu is also a vocalist and percussionist, using instruments such as the Indian tabla.
